DaFin Signature WSL Fins
Regular price R 1,699.95 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 131): Computation results in '-Infinity'%DaFiN was developed in Hawaii by Andy Cochran, one of Australia’s early surfing pioneers, with input from world renowned watermen Mark Cunningham and Brian Keaulana. The revolutionary design of DaFiN delivers the two most important features you want in your fins: comfort and power. DaFiN floats in the ocean and looks good both in and out of the water with an assortment of color combinations to choose from. There is no right or left foot difference so DaFiN can be worn on either foot.
DaFiN is used by lifeguards and water safety professionals in the United States and around the world. DaFiN is standard issue equipment for the Hawaiian Lifeguard Association. In 2006 DaFiN was endorsed as the ‘Official Swim Fin’ of the United States Lifesaving Association, the premier professional association of beach lifeguards and open water rescuers in the United States. DaFiN has earned its reputation with strong endorsements by the world’s best watermen and was featured prominently in the critically acclaimed bodysurfing film ‘Come Hell or High Water’. DaFiN is the #1 choice of lifeguards, bodysurfers, and watermen around the world. Make DaFiN your choice, too!
The WSL fin is a collaboration between DaFiN and the World Surf League. In recognition of the important role lifesaving plays in the sport of surfing, proceeds from the WSL fin will benefit the water patrol groups that make WSL tours possible.

Born and raised in Hawaii, He was taught to surf by his father at the age of 10 in Waikiki on a 7’0 round-tailed Barry Kanaiaupuni mini-gun. At the age of 14, he’d shaped his first board, a 5’8 round pin out of his family’s Pearl City home. Today with 40 years of experience and having shaped boards for over ten World Champions, Eric Arakawa is a designer dedicated to the innovation and advancement of performance surfboards. As a lifelong surfer, it is his hope to spread the stoke that surfing has brought him by producing boards that get you excited to surf, whether it is a shortboard, mini-simmons, or longboard. Used regularly by both local and touring pros, his boards have been ridden to victory in countless Triple Crowns as well as WCT and WQS events worldwide, including Longboard and Big Wave World Tours. He has also been honored by the surfing media for his achievements, including Surfing Magazine’s Shaper of the Year in 2003.
It all started with his passion for surfing and the chance to save money on new boards, but he soon discovered he could also make it a professional career. By 1977 he was shaping for Hawaiian Island Creations, and in the 80’s he started his own surfboard company, Island Classics. The company grew and became host to a world champion surf team, but Eric realized his role in Island Classics required him to head in a direction away from his roots: surfboard design and shaping.
In 1995 he agreed to shape for HIC, who in return purchased Island Classics and its licensees, thus freeing Eric to concentrate not only on shaping and surfing, but also to spend more quality time with his young family. Today Eric resides on the North Shore of Oahu with his wife Sue. Nearly all his children have now grown up, and he is still as passionate as ever about creating the perfect board.
THIS BOARD
"After the Silmaril, our next goal was to work on a squash tail design that performed in weak, small waves. In November of 2022, Alonso Correa asked us to start developing a performance short board design for him to compete with in small waves for the 2023 season on the QS. After 3 months of testing and design modifications, we dialed this one in and sent it home with Alonso. Straight out of the gates, this board started reaping heat wins in South and Central America. Similar in approach to the Silmaril, this one is just fine-tuned for waves that lack in power. It's deep single concave with a slightly straighter tail (exit curve) that maintains speed out of turns, and carries through fat sections. It's easy to ride, and although it is primarily designed for open face waves, it feels sparky when hitting the lip. The lively pop when weighting and unweighting make it a great board for boosting airs."

THIS BOARD
Living, surfing, and shaping on the North shore of Oahu, EA has spent over 40 years tuning his boards under the feet of the world’s best talent on and off the Tour. This particular design is all of EA’s collected knowledge and experience boiled down into the pure and refined Hawaiian step up. No frills, no fat—it doesn’t even have a name. It is just the RP, shorthand for “the rounded pin”. No other board better embodies the phrase “Proven Boards from the Proving Grounds” than this model.
Our team riders choose the RP for their North Shore winter quiver or similar waves around the world. Whether you are a seasoned pro or a new convert, this is the board you want for the dream waves of consequence.
BOTTOM CONTOUR: Slight single to double concave
FIN RECOMMENDATIONS: Primarily Thruster but also works well as a quad.

Draw old School lines across little peelers or thread a hefty barrel with this modern hybrid design. Pure glide in small waves, clean carving lines, and big barrels — this model is made for it all. The mid-length design was conceived back in 2016 after Sean Arakawa had fallen in love with his 8’0 Avis one summer. He continued to ride the 8’0 funboard into our winter season on the North Shore. As he pushed it into larger waves, he found he wanted something as fun and effortless as the Avis, but with less board to swing around and an outline more tuned for barrels and waves with power. What resulted was the Holy Moli, drawing inspiration from the Hawaiian name for the seafaring Albatross and shear stoke. This board knows no bounds. Typical length range: 6'6 - 7'6.

RYD Twin Good Good Vibes Honeycomb Twin Keel 1Tab
Regular price R 1,999.00 Save Liquid error (snippets/product-template line 131): Computation results in '-Infinity'%Made to suit the traditional fish/twin fin shapes, this fuller keel shaped fin with an upright (pivot) profile and large base, will give you all the forward momentum you need when coupled with your favourite fish. The small cutaway shaped in the bottom rear of the fin also adds more release through your turns. This is a traditional shaped twin fin, for your traditionally shaped fish.
*Our Layback Range is made of a full honeycomb construction. So what is this honeycomb we keep talking about? It's a hexagonal shaped foam that sits inside the core of the fin, which is then glassed in with resin. Because less resin is used, honeycomb fins are generally lighter, and we already know they offer more flex. And more flex equals more whip. And more whip equals more stoke!

Our Alt Range uses composite materials. That's just a fancy term for saying we use two different types of material in the fin construction that delivers, what we call a Carbon Flex combination. You'll find carbon at the base of the fin (the stiffness at the base helps with drive and control) and a honeycomb fabrication for the rest of the fin (giving the fin the ability to flex above the stiff base). This is a great all-round construction option offering drive and whip at the right times.
